Can you get shin splints from standing?
I used to get them hiking years ago. I recently transitioned from a desk job back to to a standing job. The desk job was the oddity- I sat 40 + hrs a week for 7 months after 20+ yrs of being on my feet. Now I’m on my feet again, and 3 weeks into it have shin splint symptoms in my right leg. I wear Dansko clogs 100% of the time at work, and am on a 1.5 inch thick fatigue mat. Any suggestions on how to relieve the symptoms?
Getting shin splints just standing is a sign of weak bones! you should start drinking milk and perhaps go to the doctor to get your bones checked out, it could lead to worse problems if not taken care of. Maybe some custom insoles for your boots would help the problem a bit.
