Pneumatic Rivet
Airframe mechanic minimum tool list?
Anyone here. I am often advised that for daily sheetmetal work on airframes only a few tools are needed (e.g., punches and a pneumatic rivet gun). I am currently looking at a job doing sheetmetal work on Beech 1900D aircraft. Anyone here know the minimum set of tools required to work successfully on such planes? Much obliged in advance.
I once took a sheetmetal class as part of my A&P maintenance course at a Part 147 school, so I know what is involved when it comes to sheetmetal work on airplanes.
Besides what “Been There” has listed, you’ll need a Cleco kit similar to this one, probably with many more fasteners and clamps. Be prepared to buy and endless supply of drill bits too.
