Floor Brush
Stripping a laminate floor….HELP? Answers from experience only please!?
I applied the product Quick Shine to my laminate wood floor, I put 4 coats on the floor. It looked good for about 2 days. Now I need to strip it. Let me tell you what I have done so far. I filled a bucket with ammonia and used a floor brush and scrubbed it, 6 times. I also added ammonia to floor cleaner and again used a floor brush and scrubbed it and wiped it…2 times. There is still a “film” of wax on the floor and it is spotty, it looks awful. I thought ammonia was supposed to dissolve the wax. Today i wiped it up again with straight ammonia, still streaky. If you bend down to the floor and scrape it with your fingernail it comes up, well I’m not going to do that. ANY IDEAS!!!!!!!
sorry… next time read the product info…
For best results clean with our Quick Shine Cleaners. Do not clean with oil soap, pine oil, orange oil, ammonia, vinegar or all-purpose cleaners as these cleaners can interfere with the Finish process.
If Quick Shine® Floor Finish has not been properly applied or maintained, it can be removed with our Quick Shine® Deep Cleaner/Wax Remover. Do not use the Quick Shine® Deep Cleaner/Wax Remover on laminate surfaces or unsealed wood.
You should never remove Quick Shine® Floor Finish from the laminate surface as it will dissipate with foot traffic over time.
so I’d give it time… or contact the MFG
