What kind of plug socket adaptor do i need to take to Amsterdam?
Apart from the sockets being different from the ones we use in the U.K., i understand that you need to take into account the different voltages used in different countries. Can anyone tell me what kind of adaptor i need to take to Amsterdam from England?
It’s a two pin socket here, so just get a simple adapter 3>2 pins from any electrical shop. Ask for the simple version as they will more than likely try to flog you the expensive universal adapter with a billion different combinations of which 99% you will never use! (NL has same sockets as rest of mainland West Europe and beyond)
You don’t need a power converter. If you are coming from the US, then yes you will as they work on a different voltage, but NL & UK are the same
My parents live in the UK, so we come over 1/2 a year and have many UK appliances here which I use with just the simple adapater
